# Make your Bento feel like you

Open **Appearance** from the editor to change the visual system for the whole page.

## What you can customize

* Background theme or pattern
* Custom background photo when available
* Accent color
* Typography and font choices available on your plan
* Header presentation
* Block-level colors, covers, and call-to-action styles where supported

## A simple design recipe

1. Pick one background with enough contrast for your text.
2. Use one accent color for important actions.
3. Keep your display name and bio short enough to scan.
4. Use only one or two visually large blocks above the fold.
5. Preview the public page on a phone before sharing.

<Tip>
  Minimal pages usually convert better: make the next action obvious and let spacing do some of the
  design work.
