# Connect a payment provider

> Let buyers pay through your own provider account.

# Connect where you get paid

Go to **Settings → Payments**. Each provider card shows whether it is available, connected, or still awaiting Bento or provider approval.

## How payments work

* The creator connects their own eligible provider account.
* The selected provider handles payment processing and settlement.
* Bento records the order and controls fulfilment after a verified payment event.
* Bento's platform fee is **0% on every plan**.
* The payment provider's own processing, currency conversion, dispute, tax, or merchant-of-record fees may still apply.

## Connect a provider

  <Step title="Choose a provider">
    Open its **How to connect** section and review the requirements.

  <Step title="Start the secure connection">
    Select **Connect** and complete the provider's authorization flow.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Return to Bento">The provider card should show Connected or Ready.</Step>

  <Step title="Use it for checkout">
    Select **Use for checkout** when the provider supports charges for your product type.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Run a test">

  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  A connected badge does not always mean every checkout type is enabled. Use only a provider that
  Bento marks ready for checkout, and never publish a paid product before completing a test
  purchase.
</Warning>

Stripe and PayPal can support direct creator checkout when Bento's provider configuration is active. Razorpay requires Route/platform approval. Polar availability depends on the supported connection and checkout mode. Dodo is used for Bento's own Pro billing rather than creator checkout.
